"Tao" - Biennale giovani Monza 2021

Sound is pervasive and penetrating, with significant implications for the imagination.

Because behind a piece of sound, there can be a fragment of the world, with its own story to tell.

The sound installation Tao (2021) consists of speakers arranged in a room to broadcast sound tracks drawn from around the world. Specifically, it is an acoustic "portrait" of a city, that of Monza, in the relationship established between humanity and nature. Hence the reference in the title to the Eastern philosophy of Zen, to that Tao inclusive of the parts of the universe, of Yin and Yang.

Portraits created en plein air in the park, near the racetrack or stadium, or in the city during the pandemic months.

An urban planning reflection centered on the difficult relationship between humanity and nature, the latter an unexpected protagonist during the health emergency.
